  • Ron and I visited the memorial last October while visiting the area (We live in Newark, CA). It was very touching. When the news of the hurricane was being televised, it broke our hearts to see so much devastation. Thank you to the people who built this memorial. Biloxi/Gulfport area has and always been my favorite destination!

  • I was living on the coast when Katrina hit and worked at Casino Magic. This is awesome. I saw the Extreme Makeover show where this was highlighted. A truly great memorial to those on the coast who suffered through Katrina rather than evacuate. The Coast will come back bigger and better. And, happily, I am on my way back!

  • The artist, Aaron Kramer, was asked to assemble and create the "collection" of obects that were place in the "Time Capsule" as part of the Memorial. All of the objects were collected from survivors, recorded by the crew of Extreme Makover, as Aaron listened to their stories of Katrina's effect on their lives. The arrangment of the items was the Artists design. Aaron Kramer is an Artist with a Studio in Venice California and will be exhibiting for the fifth time at the Smithsonian Craft Show (April 20th-23, 2006) in Wahington DC. His web site is http://www.urban-objects.com A proud Poppa, Ed Kramer
