Le Petite Theatre du Vieux Carre

This 88-year-old community theatre, Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre, had its inception back in 1916, when a group of amateur theatre-lovers began putting on plays in the drawing room of one of the members. The Germaine Cazenave Wells Mardi Gras Museum at Arnauds Restaurant in the French Quarter exhibits a fine collection of Carnival court gowns, costumes and memorabilia worn by Mrs. Wells and members of her family, including her father "Count Arnaud" the founder of the restaurant in 1918. It is said that she reigned over more Mardi Gras courts than any other individual in the history of Carnival. The museum is open free to the public during restaurant hours.
