Copa Casino Closed Due to Hurricane Damage.

Message on thier website states "Due to the tragic and unexpected destruction of Copa Casino as a result of Hurricane Katrina, gaming operations have ceased and the facility is closed for the foreseeable future."

Original Copa casino, sold in 2002, sank in 2003
Near Dominican Republic. New Copa barge was destroryed
by Hurrican Katrina storm surge and was floated on land near
the Grand Casino parking area in Gulfport.

There is also a note on there that The Copa has aquired the Grand Gulfport property..so expect something bigger and better than the old Copa.
