You can explore a real life battleship. Used during World War II.
You can virtually explore any part of the huge ship. The park has become a veritable museum of sea, air and armor. The park is open daily except Christmas.

Also visitors can tour the 311 foor USS Drum submarine. The USS Drum sank a number of Japanese warships in the Pacific.

Notable aircraft display may include a B-52, Douglas SBD Dauntless, A-12 (Blackbird Spy plane), F9f-5P Panther, YF-105B, F-16A, F4U-7 Corsair, and a Mig 21.

Among the armor are a M4 Sherman tank, M26 Pershing, m48A1 Patton, 155 mm Field Piece, M75 Armored Personnel Carrier, and a Iraqi T-55 tank (Which was used by the Iraqi's during the Kuwait invasion. Abandoned by the Iraqi one the US liberated Kuwait.

See www.USSAlabama.com for current admission prices. It takes about 50 minutes to drive from the Central Gulf Coast of Mississippi to Battle Ship Parkway. And is worth the time.

Hopefully most of the Aircraft survived Katrina. The USS Alabama was listing about 5 degrees after the storm.

SCOUTS: You can stay overnight on the Alabama, see the ussalabama.com website above for details.

Both the USS Alabama and USS Drum are historic landmarks.
